Fifteen years of showing up
Torque & Tread is a mobile tire and auto repair operation covering Polk and Highlands County, Florida. No storefront, no waiting room, no service advisor between you and the technician.
We started doing this because the shop model wastes everybody’s time. A tire change is forty minutes of work wrapped in four hours of logistics — dropping the car, finding a ride, waiting on a call. Take away the building and the work is still forty minutes. Everything else disappears.
Fifteen years later, most of our work comes from repeat customers and the people they send us. We have changed tires on the shoulder of US-27 at 3am, replaced brakes in office parking garages during lunch hours, and serviced fleets overnight so the trucks were ready before the drivers arrived.
We are deliberately limited to two counties. Expanding would mean longer drives, vaguer arrival windows and the kind of “sometime this afternoon” scheduling that makes people hate service companies. Polk and Highlands is what we can cover well.

What we won't do mobile
Plenty of companies will book anything and figure it out when they arrive. We would rather tell you on the phone. Wheel alignments need a fixed rack. Transmission replacement, engine internals, timing chains, exhaust welding, AC system work requiring recovery equipment and anything requiring a vehicle lift is shop work.
We will still diagnose those problems on site so you know exactly what you are dealing with before you hand your keys to anyone. If we cannot finish the job, you will hear that before we quote you.
